We use Friendship Evangelism as strategy of soul winning- Apostle Ojuola

The Founder and General Overseer of the Awareness Life Ministry, Akure, Ondo State, Apostle (Dr) Rufus Omoniyi Ojuola has revealed the strategy being used by the ministry to win souls for Christ.

Apostle Ojuola disclosed this while feeding question from the PATH during the ordination of some members of the ministry. The ministry which is over 35 years major focus and priority is Soul Winning for Christ and preaching of the second coming of Jesus Christ.

The GO said to wooes people whenever they are on evangelism mission, they give out gift items, provide free medical services and drugs, rendering assistance to the needy among them, thereby gaining their confidence and listening ear to the message of Christ.

His words: ” Our ministry is not prosperity preaching ministry but major on the second coming of Jesus Christ. On evangelism mission, we give people gift items, Free Medicare and drugs, help the less privileged among them. Doing this, we are developing friendship with the people and they will be ready to listen to our sermon”.

He revealed further that the ministry started when he got the vision that Jesus Christ is coming soonest and as body of Christ, they are preparing everybody towards the second coming. “The name of our church is Awareness Life Ministry; the name is not accidental but creating awareness to the people that the coming of Jesus Christ is near’.

Apostle Ojuola while charging the members of the ministry to be steadfast as the coming of Jesus Christ is near with all the signs and happening across the world, adding that any pastor that can’t key Into the vision of the ministry can’t work with them.

Speaking on the ordination, Apostle Ojuola said it is a call to service in the vineyard of God, having been tested spiritually in several ways and found worthy to work for God.

He noted that the ordination will be the second one in the last 20 years, saying it is good to encourage gift of God in someone’s life provided such gift will be used to serve God.

While charging the ordained ministers to see their Holy Bible as weapon and power to use in their new assignment, he asked them to be upright in all their dealing and never backslide into the world.

He congratulated the ordained men and women for new spiritual promotion, adding that no Kobo was collected for their ordination as Salvation is free. ” Out ministry is not for money making but winning of soul for Christ. Salvation is free, though, we need money because we are not rich but putting heavy burden on members is not part of our calling”.

In the same vein, the Resident Pastor of the ministry, Pastor Ajimajasan Sunday corrobated the statement of the General Overseer that church is a Soul Winning ministry, saying the newly ordained men and women are to further help in spreading the gospel of Christ.

He charged the ordained ministers to be focused and committed to the work of God in their respective cares.

Meanwhile, six members of the church were ordained as Evangelist, Prophetess, Elders, Baba Ewe among others.

In a separate interview with the newly ordained, they thanked the founder and General Overseer, Apostle Ojuola for counting them worthy to be selected for ordination, promising to serve God with all their might and win as many as possible souls for Christ
