Ondo Independent Newspaper Publishers To Present Award to 8 Outstanding Nigerians

The Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria, (AINPN) Ondo State Council, the umbrella body where all registered grassroots Newspapers operate in Ondo State will on Sunday 25th of July, 2021 honour selected Nigerians who have contributed immensely to the Social, Economic, Political and Educational emancipation of the people in Ondo State and Nigeria at large.

The Media Award of the registered Association and Lecture which is set to hold at Pharmacist Hall, Alagbaka, Akure, Ondo State, will have the Governor of Ondo State Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN as the Special Guest of Honor, while the Chairman of the event is Dr. Patrick Oludare, Chief Medical Director, Oludare Hospital, Akure, Ondo State.


The Royal Father of the event is Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, the Deji of Akure Kingdom.


Meanwhile, the theme for this event is “Insecurity Challenges: a threat to Nigeria Existence beyond 2023, the imperative of solving menace through Intelligence Gathering and Surveillance. It would be delivered by Barrister Victor Olatoyegun, a Renowned Legal Practitioner and Human Right Lawyer.

To celebrate the 2021 Grassroots Media Award of the Association, Professor Adenike Osofisan, the first woman Professor of Computer Science in Nigeria, Barr. Felix Kolawole Alonge, SSA to the Ondo State Governor on Social Investment Programm, Hon (Princess) Omowumi Ohwovoriole, Chairman Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State and former Member of Lagos State House of Assembly and one time Commissioner for Women Affairs in Ondo State and Pharmacist Samuel Adekola, Chairman, National Association of Community Pharmacist of Nigeria will receive various categories of merit Awards.


Other Awardees are, Jeseph Olalekan Falokun,
the Oluwoye of Iwoye, Chief Sunday Omotosho, the Akaye and Babaloja of Akoko North West of Ondo State, Bishop Michael Adesua General Overseer of Cornerstone New Life Church, Chief Ajayi Ifedayo, CEO Daystar Guest House.
