Akure South HOLGA, Mrs Modupe Omoloja Congratulates Ondo D.Gov, Chief Olayide Adelami

The Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) in Akure South Local Government, Mrs Modupe Omoloja has joined other well-wishers to congratulate the newly sworn-in Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Chief Olayide Adelami.
Speaking with the PATH NEWS at the DOME Event Centre in Akure, Mrs Omoloja described the choice of Adelami by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as deputy as a well thought out decision aimed at developing Ondo State.
She expressed confidence in his ability to perform beyond expectations just as she prayed God to grant him the wisdom and understanding he needs to succeed at his new assignment.
While urging the Deputy Governor to consolidate on the ongoing developmental policies of the Governor in the state, Mrs Omoloja said Chief Adelami has what it takes to deliver.
She enjoined the workers in Ondo State to cooperate with the Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa administration while commending the governor for his unalloyed love for the workers in Ondo State within the time frame he took the mantle of leadership in the state.
Meanwhile, the governor praised the sterling credentials of the new deputy governor, described him as a seasoned technocrat, administrator, and philanthropist.
According to him, “The Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Owolabi Adelami, mni, is a seasoned technocrat, administrator, philanthropist, and politician who had served the nation creditably at various levels, including serving as Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, before his eventual retirement.
He is an urbane gentleman who had paid his dues in the service and development of Ondo State, and the nation at large. I have no doubt that finding himself again in a familiar terrain he will serve with integrity, devotion, loyalty, and accountability.
“We expect that you will provide fresh ideas and new drive to support this administration in consolidating our legacy projects, building a sustainable socio-economic base as encapsulated in our redeemed agenda; and pilot the politics of the state to a higher level of humility, justice and harmony as you serve the citizens.”
The new deputy governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami In his acceptance speech, appreciated the state governor for allowing him to serve the state, promising to be loyal to him 100%.
“Mr Governor, I hereby wholeheartedly accept to be your Deputy and my loyalty to you will be total.
“To the good people of Ondo State, I’m here to join hands with Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa to serve you and ensure that lives are made more meaningful for you in all facets.
“To our good people of Ondo State, by the Grace of God Almighty who in His Will, arranged this day to come, we will not let you down.
“I want to therefore appeal to all our good people of Ondo State at home and abroad to kindly support Mr Governor and myself, in our sincere desire to entrench good governance in our Sunshine State
