The Principal of Fiwasaye Girl’s Grammar School, Akure, Dr Omobola Ojoge has reiterated the commitment of the school to high academic and moral standard, saying the school has zero tolerance to examination malpractice.
She stated this while addressing the students on the School Assembly Ground on Monday, the first day of resumption for new academic session, expressing her determination to totally rid out Exam Malpractice in any form.
Ojoge said under her watch as Principal, she won’t allow any shading dealing in both the internal and external exams, saying Fiwasaye is noted for academic excellence devoid of cheating.
The Principal added that the school code of conduct is Zero Tolerance for Examination Malpractice, noting that she will not compromise the standard laid down by the founders of the school.
Her words: ‘ We stand out among other schools in Ondo State and Fiwasaye don’t copy other schools because the code of conduct of the school is Zero Tolerance for Examination Malpractice,”.
” Count me out of Principals or Schools abetting and aiding cheating during External Exams. Some of our students are not comfortable with me for not allowing them to cheat during WAEC or NECO exams like some schools because at Fiwasaye, you must read and study hard to pass’.
“I will not bribe or give kick back to any WAEC official to allow cheating during exam. We value moral and integrity at Fiwasaye and to the glory of God, our students are not found wanting when it comes to academic excellence “.
While promising to always encourage the teachers to give their best to the students, promising to organise extra coaching rather than encouraging cheating among the lazy children.
The Principal expressed gratitude to the Old Students of Fiwasaye who have been supporting and embarking of different projects which has become envy of other schools.
“During holiday, we received Sewing and Weaving Machines from the Old Student of the school with intent to teach interested students how to weave and sow”.
The Principal urged the students to take their study serious saying no short cut to success at Fiwasaye.
“I finished from Fiwasaye and no teacher or principal encourage cheating among us. If you want to succeed, it starts from your first day in the school”.
