Ondo Artisan’s Group Sets For 2026 Global Artisans Day

Ondo State chapter of the Artisans Group under Apostle Adefioye Gbenga-Gure is set for the maiden edition of the Global Artisans Day 2026, first of its kind in Ondo State.
In a Press Statement signed by the President Apostle Adefioye Gbenga-Gure stated that preparations are on top gear for the success of the programme.
World International Artisan Day, often comes up on every April 18th (launched in 2021) celebrates the skilled creators, cultural custodians, and crafts people worldwide. As Artisan was founded in 2023 by Jaspar Carmichael-Jack and Sam Stallings.
The President said, the purpose of the celebration is to honor artisans’ contributions to history, humanity, and economic development of the world.

He noted that, the Director General of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Dr Afiz Ogun is the one bankrolling the day, saying his leadership has been artisans friendly.
Apostle Adefioye thanked the DG for his continued support for Artisans in Ondo State, assuring him of their total support and loyalty at all time.
The Publicity Secretary, Niran Oni added that several activities have been line up for the celebration.
Such as
1. SKILL UP ARTISANS (SUPA)
2. TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY first in Africa.
3. ARTISANS TOOLS & WORKSHOP SETUP EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM.
4. ARTISANS SKILL EXPORTATION PROGRAM
5. ARTISANS WELFARE PROGRAM
6. ARTISANS MASTER RETRAINING PROGRAM.
etc.
He admonished all Artisans in the State to key into these noble programs
