Comrade Borokini Gbenga Congratulates Prof Atowoju Appointment As St David Cathedral Provost

Comrade Borokini Gbenga, the Special Adviser on Mobilization to the President of NULGE in Ondo State has joined other well meaning Nigerians to congratulate the newly appointed Provost for St David’s Cathedral Church, Venerable Professor Ayodele Adeyinka Atowoju.
It was on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, that the Diocese received the much-anticipated news of the Archbishop’s decision and declaration of Prof Ayodele Adeyinka Atowoju as the new Provost.
In his felicitation message made available to the PATH, Borokini stated that the choice of Prof Atowoju as Provost is well deserving considering his wealth of experience and leadership astute of many years in the diocese.
” Sir, your accomplished academic, in-depth theological scholarship, commitment to ministry, and years of dedicated service to both the Church and academia, better placed and prepared you for this new leadership challenge”.
He thanked the leadership of the diocese under Archbishop and Lord Bishop of Akure Diocese, The Most Rev’d. Simeon Oluwole Borokini, Ph.D., CFAT, for the appointment guided by Holy Spirit and laid down procedure for such appointment.
He urged the Provost not to disappoint the confidence reposed in him by the leadership of the church to provide spiritual and administrative prowess at this critical time of his appointment.
Borokini enjoined all members of the church to embrace and support him in building the church and propagating the work of God.
