UNEMPLOYMENT: ONDO SENATOR ASKS NIGERIAN YOUTHS TO EMBRACE AGRICULTURE, ENTREPRENEURSHIP

A Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Ayo Akinyelure asked Nigerian youths searching for unavailable white collar job to embrace agriculture and entrepreneurship, saying that is the only way to overcome poverty.
He said this during a media chat with journalists at the Ondo State Pen’s House, Akure. Senator Akinyelure is the Chairman Senate House Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions.
Allover as popularly called said government lack the capacity to provide jobs for the teeming unemployed graduates in the country, adding that, the only way to reduce high rate of unemployment in Nigeria is for the youth to channel their energy into agriculture and entrepreneurship skills.
He narrated that, he has never in his entire life worked under anybody be it government or private firms, saying whatever he was able to achieved in life was a self made efforts.
” I started business with just N30 and today I am a billionaire even before I ventured into politics”.
He advised interested youths to apply for the Federal Government loan to start a business and invest in agriculture. ” There is a loan opportunity at the Central Bank of Nigeria which interested applicants can assess up to N5-7m for investment in agriculture be it poultry, piggery among other agro business”.
Allover enjoined Nigerians youth to go back to the farm and make money, saying Endsars is not going to be a solution to Nigeria problems.
