The pioneer leadership for the Association of Woodcraft, Carpenters & Furniture Makers of Nigeria (AWCAFAN) in Ondo State took oath of office to run the affairs of the association.
Speaking shortly after his inauguration, the new State Chairman, Elder Ifeolu Tokinmi while appreciating God for the opportunity and members for reposing trust in his ability to serve further assured them that his team will work assiduously to attain great feats for the association in the state.
While also particularly thanking the National Chairman, Comrade Jato Stephen for personally gracing the occasion, used the occasion to charge members to remain united and support the leadership to achieve all set goals
Giving his remarks, Comrade Jato urged all members to work together and remain united just as he expressed optimism in the ability of the new leadership to paddle the affairs of the association well in the state.
Also giving his goodwill message, the President General of Ondo State Artisan Group, Comrade Daisi Komolafe congratulated members of the association just as he urged the leadership to run a transparent and accountable leadership for the greater good of all members.
The major highpoint of the day’s event is the official oath taking ceremony for all state executives.
The event also featured an award presentation to Comrade Komolafe by the association in recognition of his excellent service.
In a chat with newsmen, the new state secretary, Comrade Fakayode Samuel charged members to be sincere in all their dealings and to practice their profession in their fear of God.
