OGSA To Open Entrepreneural Skill Acquisition Centre, As School Partners NGO- Akoni Oluyide

Oyemekun Grammar School Akure (OGSA) is at the brim of opening an Entrepreneural Skill Acquisition Centre in the school, following a discussion with a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), with intent of providing a platform of students learning skills in addition to their formal education.

The Principal of the “Only School” Akoni Adeniyi Oluyide disclosed this during resumption monitoring by the PATH NEWS, stating that Oyemekun Grammar School provides positive opportunities for students who are ready to acquire additional skills.

He noted that, the school is partnering an NGO (name withheld) of which working agreement will soon be signed, saying OGSA as the only school is at it again setting pace for other schools in Ondo State to follow.

He added that, the Centre will afford students opportunity to learn Tailoring, Barbing, Hair Dressing, Poultry, Pig rearing among others skills acquisition of choice.

His words: “OGSA as a community is open to many positive opportunities for our students. I can only congratulate students of Oyemekun Grammar School for this golden opportunity of acquiring additional skills at the Centre”.

The Principal commended the state government for reopening the abandoned technical room of schools across the state saying it will further help in acquisition of technical knowledge by the students.

He thanked the Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire for his several projects in the school, noting that, most of the projects will be commissioned this year.

Speaking on the activities line up for the 73rd Founder’s Day of the school, the Principal said the programnme will commence from January 26 to 2nd of February, 2026 in conjunction with the Old Students Association of the school.

Akoni Oluyide stated further that, the newly elected global executives of the Old Students would be inaugurated, press conference, interaction with the Staff and students by the Global executives, Inter-House Sport among others activities.

While feeding questions on the preparation of the staff towards school resumption for second term, Akoni Oluyide assured parents and students of quality learning, charging students to exhibit good morals within and outside the school.
