Federal Institute of Information Communication Technology, Idanre Bill Passes First Reading

The Bill for the establishment of Federal Institute of Information Communication Technology in Idanre has passed the First Reading at the Lower Chamber today.

As the world drifts toward technological advancement in proffering solutions to problems, mostly towards sustainable developments, Hon Festus Akingbaso has sponsored a bill for the creation of Federal Institute of Information Communication Technology in Idanre, Ondo State.

The Bill passed the first reading today at the plenary session with the title ” Federal Institute of Information Communication Technology, Idanre, Ondo State”

The bill was listed as the number 18 House Schedule for today plenary, 31st of October, 2023.

Reacting after their plenary session, Hon Festus Akingbaso reiterated that information is a vital tool for technology and any nation that wants to be at par with others must take it with seriousness.

He added that the bill when eventually signed into the law would facilitate a tertiary institute in Idanre Local Government which will serve as a hub for infotech and other related technology to the constituents and people of the state at large.

He assured the people of the Constituents that, unlike the previous bills, this shall see the light of the day.

In less than five months in the hallow chamber, Hon Akingbaso has sponsored two bills, promising to legislate with vigour and passion to bring smiles to the faces of his constituents.
