A leading aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for Owo Constituency 2, Hon Adeola Taoheed Musa has sought the blessing and support of traditional rulers in Owo ahead of the 2027 general election.
ATM as fondly called, at different meetings with the royal fathers said it was imperative to pay homage to the monarchs, describing traditional institutions as critical stakeholders in community development and political stability.
Among the traditional rulers so far visited includes Olowo, Elemure, Oloba, Ojomo, Oliyere and recently the Olupele of Ipele,, Oba Samuel Oluwashola Adesanmi Daramola Ujadiminegha I.
Speaking at the Palace of Olupele, Hon Adeola said his aspiration was driven by a desire to attract development and improve the welfare of constituents through effective representation at the State House of Assembly
” My aspiration was driven by a commitment to grassroots development, youth empowerment, and improved infrastructure across Owo Constituency II”.
While soliciting for royal blessings, he stated that, collaboration between political leaders and traditional institutions would foster sustainable development in the constituency.
In his words: Our Kabiyesi, I have come to solicit your support as traditional institutions and custodians of our communities. I am your son, and I seek to represent the good people of Owo Constituency 2 at the State House of Assembly.
He added that, aside his primary duties of lawmaking, ATM promised to provide solutions to challenges facing the constituency within available resources at his disposal.
Adeola assured the traditional rulers of adding value to the Constituency in lines with the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa developmental agenda for the state.
In his response, the Olupele of Ipele commended Hon. Musa for the visit and urged political aspirants to conduct peaceful and issue-based campaigns.
The monarch stressed the need for unity and called on leaders to prioritise the welfare of the people.
Olupele later prayed for peaceful political activities and progress in Owo Constituency II and Ondo State ahead of the 2027 polls.
