Akure NSE Pays Condolence Visit To Bunmi Afuye’s Widow

The leadership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Akure Branch led by its chairman, Engr Ezekiel Oloruntola paid a condolence visit to the widow of Late Bunmi Afuye who met his untimely death in the hands of the men of the underworld.

This will be the second time the society will visit the widow of Afuye after the death of her husband.

It could be recalled that, Bunmi Afuye was shot by Armed Robbers during a bank robbery in Ilara Mokin, Ifedore Local Government of the state few weeks ago.

Afuye was a broadcaster and the Public Relation Officer of the Elizade University, Ilara Mokin, a position he occupied in less than three months before he fell to the guns of the Armed Robbers.

Speaking on behalf of the society during the visit, Engr Oloruntola described Late Afuye as an industrious man, humble and one of the best broadcaster and compere in Ondo State.

In his words, Afuye was our MC in his days and so the professional body can never leave the family.

He prayed for the children and widow of the deceased, saying their doors are always open to her anyday, anytime. ” Afuye was one of us, he was preparing to be fully inducted as members before he passed away but who are we to question God”?

Afuye’s Widow thanked the leadership of NSE for the visit, describing the death of her husband as a great loss to the family and the state as a whole.

The climax of the visitation was the presentation of cash to the widow and payment for the last service rendered by the deceased during Engr Olusoga Annual Lecture.

Some of the branch executives on the visitation train were the Chairman, the General Secretary, PRO, Assistant General Secretary, immediate past vice chairman and administrative staff.
