The Ondo central Senatorial aspirant, Dr Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu “Cubana” has reacted to the fabricated results of the last Ondo Central Senatorial primary election.
He described the results as a figment of imagination of Engr Thomas Femi Awosika, the self -acclaimed Chairman of Ondo State election committee.
This unauthorized announcement is a flagrant contravention of the established position of the party and does not represent the authentic decisions of the party members.
In the said laughable results, Dr. Olumuyiwa Adu, the most popular and acceptable among the aspirants was allocated a paltry sum of 1,245 out of 43,628 total votes.
This misrepresentation of facts smacks indiscipline and violation of party directives and the collosal fraud is capable of plunging the state into needless crises and controversies.
It is on records, with video evidences and accounts from eye witnesses, that the primaries across the central Senatorial District were marred by irregularities, falsification of figures, manipulations, violence and other shameful shows that are capable of undermining future democratic participations.
Dr. Adu who had earlier described the exercise as illegitimate, violent and ceremonial imposition of preferred candidates by the state leadership, lauded the wise intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR to address the abuse of democratic process.
Dr. Adu therefore advised his teeming supporters and patriotic stakeholders to await the decisions of the National Working Committee (NWC) which will be formally communicated upon the conclusion of the entire exercise as he seeks appropriate redress.
