2027: Let My Votes Count, ‘K-VAL Warns Against Results Manipulation in Idanre APC Assembly Primary

Hon. Akinboni Kayode, popularly known as K-Val, has declared that he emerged victorious in all the 10 wards during the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly primary election held in Idanre Local Government Area.

Addressing journalists shortly after the exercise, K-Val maintained that results and evidence in his possession clearly showed that he won overwhelmingly across the wards, contrary to speculations making the rounds.

The APC aspirant alleged attempts to manipulate the outcome of the primary in favour of another contender, Hon. Guilder, warning that such a move could trigger serious unrest among party loyalists and supporters in the constituency.

According to him, the mandate freely given to him by party delegates must be respected in the interest of justice, fairness, and peace within the party.

He further stated that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), as well as officers of the Nigeria Police Force were present at the collation centre where he was declared winner of the primary election and presented with a certificate. He added that all the agencies present also have copies of the election results and relevant documents.

“I won the primary election convincingly in all the 10 wards in Idanre. I have credible evidence to prove my victory, and any attempt to declare another person winner against the will of delegates may lead to crisis and disaffection among party members,” he stated.

K-Val further appealed to the leadership of the party to remain transparent and uphold the integrity of the electoral process, stressing that APC members in Idanre expect fairness and due process.

He also called on supporters to remain calm and law-abiding while awaiting the official declaration of results by the party authorities.
