APC Primary: Kolawole Ologede Emerges Winner of Akure North Constituency Assembly

The Akure North Constituency Election Committee hereby declared Hon Kolawole Ologede as duly elected in the All Progressive Congress (APC) primary held Wednesday 20th May 2026.

Following the collation of results at the designated local collation centre and in accordance with electoral regulations, Ologede secured a clear majority of valid votes cast across wards and polling units, resulting in a landslide victory that reflects the will of the electorate.

The Committee confirms that all required procedures were observed throughout the electoral process. Electoral officials, party agents, observers, and security personnel cooperated to ensure the voting and collation proceeded in an orderly manner.

The Committee expresses appreciation to the voters of Akure North Constituency for their participation and to all stakeholders for their contributions to a peaceful exercise.

The Committee will transmit the collated results to the appropriate electoral authorities for formal certification and will submit its final report, including observations and recommendations, within the mandated timeframe.

Speaking with the journalists, Ologede thanked the party leaders and members in the Constituency for trooping out in mass to cast their votes for him.

He promised to continue to provide dividend of democracy to the good people of the Constituency, saying his second term in office will witness more developmental projects and human development.
