2023: Why I want to become Nigeria Next President -Ohuabunwa

The National President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Pharm (Maxi) Sam Ohuabunwa has declared his presidential ambition ahead of 2023 when President Buhari would have completed his 8 years in office.

He made this disclosure at Akure, Ondo State Capital during the 2021 Annual General Meeting of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Ondo State Chapter held at the PSN House. He was a special guest of honour assigned to commission the PSN renovated Secretariat.

Maxi Ohuabunwa said charity begins at home which necessitated the need to solicit for the support of Pharmacists across the country.” This is where l belong as a Pharmacist, it is honorable to brief you of my aspiration towards the forthcoming presidential election in the country”.

He said his aspiration to become the next president of Nigeria is targeted at rescuing the nation from insecurity, poverty, bad governance, economy comatose that have bedevilled the country.

According to him, ” We want to create a country where justice will reign, where people can sleep with their two eyes closed, where our economy will bring better living conditions and eradicate poverty in our land”.

Ohuabunwa said his aspiration is a service to humanity and the need to change the narrative of corrupt nation, religious differences, tribal bigot among other social vices that is dividing the nation.

” God has prepared me through my years in the private and prism of public sectors where l have been involved in several Presidential Committee, Advisory and Task Forces, designing Vision 2012 and Vision 2020, chairman of NECA among others to promote Nigeria “

He said enough of his advisory and advocatory roles, saying it is high time he comes to the centre stage of governance to implement programmes and policies that will better the lots of Nigerians.

” Now, I am not ready to be an adviser or promoter any longer but somebody who can implement. The problem with Nigeria is execution capacity to implement. God has given me the execution capacity based on my antecedent in various organisations I have handled”.

The PSN President said, Nigeria needs wealth creation to enable the country run away from poverty and corruption. ” If Nigeria must change for good, we need a man with competence, character and courage, all these qualities I possess to lead Nigerians out of squalor.
