2023: I’m Qualified to be Nigerians President, Says Secondus led NWC can’t lead PDP to Victory- Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike, the governor of the oil rich Rivers State has said he has what it takes to govern Nigeria as president comes 2023.

Wike made this disclosure on Channel TV morning show held in Porthacourt, Rivers State monitored by the PATH Magazine.

The Governor who said he is not nursing presidential ambition at the moment was quick to say that it does not mean he will not show interest tomorrow if need arises.

” As of this morning, I have no presidential ambition but that does not mean I will not contest tomorrow if there is need to run.

The Governor who debunked crisis in the opposition People’s Democratic Party said his position against the current leadership of the National Working Committees of the party under Uche Secondus was based on his believe that Secondus NWC can not lead PDP to victory in 2023.

” I am not saying Secondus led NWC has not performed in the past but with the current reality in the country as we move toward 2023, they cannot lead the party to victory”.

He commended the position of the BOT, the governors and elders of the party who have resolved to shift the National Convention to October, saying every loyal members must abide by the outcome of the meeting called by the elders.

The said further that, Nigerians are looking forward to PDP to come to power in 2023, adding that how ready and prepare of the party necessitated the need to change the leadership of the party and elect new NWC.

Governor Wike charged President Buhari to leave behind legacy of electoral process that will gives Nigerians free, fair and credible election. ” President Buhari promised Nigerian credible poll and it will be honourable for him to leave a legacy of credible electoral process at the expiration of his tenure”.
