A seasoned female politician in Ondo State and Nigeria, Hon Yetunde Adeyanju would be conferred with the prestigious honor as the Most Valuable Female Political Icon of the Year by the Management of the PATH NEWS, Organizer of the well celebrated Sunshine State Achivers Award.
Adeyanju political structure cut across Ondo State and South West Nigeria. She stands her out as a force to reckon with when it comes to grassroot mobilization, advocacy for female patronage and appointment into sensible positions, female-child education development among others.
Yetunde Adeyanju is a cerebral female politician that has served many governments in Ondo State, with track record of achievements. She is a record and pace setter for both female and male politicians in Ondo.
The award decoration and investiture ceremony would be held at the OSDPC Event Centre, IJapo Estate, Akure, on the 27th September, as part of the line up activities celebrating the 8th anniversary of the PATH NEWS Magazine and Sunshine State Achivers Award 2026 edition.
The program is expected to draw dignitaries from across the state and beyond, of which penciled down Hon Yetunde Adeyanju for the highest honour of MOST VALUABLE FEMALE POLITICAL ICON OF THE YEAR.
In a Press Statement released by the Planning Committee, the nomination of Adeyanju was by popular request based on his exemplary leadership, outstanding contributions to humanity and community development, women empowerment among others life touching initiatives.
Part of the activities line up for the program includes public Lecture titled ” 2027:Poll: Godfathers, Money Politics And Electoral Violence In Nigeria: Effect on Free and Fair Elections” to be delivered by Pastor St Rufus Olalere.
Launching of the Pathcare Leadership Foundation, Unveiling of Special Brochure, Award presentation among others side attractions will form part of the activities celebrating PATH @ 8 and the 2026 Sunshine State Achivers Award.
His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State is expected at the occasion as Chief Host and Special Guest of Honour.
The well celebrated Sunshine State Achivers Award would be chaired by Dr Thomas Wilson -Ikubese, the CMD of Skye Hospital and former Presidential Aspirant, and co-chaired by Chief Akindele Omole, the Bobaselu of Odigbo Kingdom, Otunba Benji Oloye is the Chief Launcher.
All prominent personalities expected at the event include APC State Chairman, Hon Kolawole Babatunde, Sir Olusegun Odusola, Head of Service, Prof Bayo Ilawole, Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Local Government Service Commission, Comrade Fredrick Akinrinlola, NULGE President Ondo State,, CEO/DG of OSRC Media Group, Mr Kenneth Odusola -Stevenson among others personalities.
