YesWeFit Convener, Dr Ikubese Sets Agenda For Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa

The Convener of the YesWeFit Revolutionary Movement, Dr. Thomas-Wilson Ikubese has set agenda for the newly sworn-in Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa asking him to priotize health, power, security, others as he leads the state in the next one year.

The Ondo State based Medical Director of the Sckye Hospitals Ltd gave the advise while featuring on the “Political Standpoint” programme of the TVC on Saturday afternoon, monitored by the PATH Correspondent.

The Former Presidential Aspirant lamented the poor state of Health Facilities in the state saying Medical Practitioners are leaving the state on daily basis as a result of poor working conditions and welfare package.

Ikubese charged Aiyedatiwa to be proactive in solving problems associated with health sector in the state, noting that the further exit of Health Personnel from the state is risky to the wellbeing of the residents of Ondo State.

He urged the Governor to give incentives to health workers in the state and invest massively in the various health facilities in the state in order to curb the mass exodus currently being experienced in the health sector.

In the same vein, Ikubese asked the governor to take advantage of the newly signed power act and engage more private entities to develop the power sector of the state, saying power must be returned to every part of the state most especially the State Capital.

“As I speak to you today, the entire Oba Adesida axis of Akure, the state capital is in darkness. And it has been like that for a long time. I will advise the governor to take advantage of the power act newly signed by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and engage more private entities to develop the power sector of the state.” He said.

While speaking on the political crisis that rocked the state before the demise of Governor Akeredolu, he stated that the do or die politics will only stop the moment political offices are made to be less attractive.

” The drama that played out in Ondo State prior to this period was nothing but about ambition of political gladiators eyeing the seat of the governor in the 2024 gubernatorial elections”.

He further added that Governor Aiyedatiwa should consider competence in picking who deputise him, saying for equity and balance he should picks the best brain as deputy from the Northern or Central Senatorial District.

He urged government and politcal class to go through his manifesto while contesting in the 2019 Presidential Election saying all possible solutions to Nigeria problems were clearly stated in the document.
