WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY: FEDERAL LAWMAKER, HON AKINGBASO CELEBRATES TEACHERS

5th October, 2023

Hon Festus O. Akingbaso, a federal lawmaker, representing the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly has heap praises on Teachers, calling them builders and reformists.

He also positively highlighted their unparalleled and unquantifiable contributions to the world as no professional, no matter how compelling their status, must pass through the tutelage of a teacher(s).

He regarded them as the layer of development in the world as they build men who build the nation and the world at large.

The Lawmaker said the parents and teachers are both partners in building and training pupils and any lapses are reflected in the socio-economic development of the community.

Fessy West as fondly called by his supporters also promised to engage in proper legislation to promote conditions that will support the Teachers and their condition services to have a better society.

The theme of the 2023 World Teachers’ Day is “The Teachers We Need for the Education We Want: The Global Imperative to Reverse Shortage”.

In tandem with this theme, it is on the record that the Federal Legislator while still a state Legislator has worked hard to ward off the shortage of teachers in primary schools as he employed some teachers to assist in achieving the objective of Universal Basic Education policy in Idanre Local Government.
