Fact has begun to emerged on the reason for the dissolution of Comrade Adekunle Obolo led State Excos and appointment of New Caretaker Committee to pilot the affairs of the Carperter and Furniture Union in Ondo State.
Elders of Carpenters & Furniture Union has said a total of N42 million contract in the name of the union is yet to be accounted for by Comrade Obolo Adekunle led administration.
In a statement by Comr Rufus Oladapo, Board of Elders Chairman, Comr Sunday Ajayi, Central Senatorial Trustee, Comr Aisida Matthew, North Senatorial Trustee, Comr Folorunso Ojo, Elders secretary, the elders affirmed that Comrade Obolo Adekunle was sworn-in August 2019 and that he has failed to account for union money under his watch as chairman.
According to the elder and members of the union, Comr Adekunle OBOLO has not been able to file in the usual roofing report and monthly dues as well.
While noting that his tenure as State Chairman expired August 15th, 2023, the elders noted further that what the members of the union wants is for the caretaker chairman, in the person of Comrade Gbenga Aladesanmi to take over the affairs of the union pending when elections will be conducted into new offices.
On the alleged attack on the union’s property, the elders admonished Comrade Obolo to stop fingering politicians as responsible for the attack stressing that the matter is strictly a union affair.
They were also unanimous in the decision that Comrade Obolo should give accounts for union money and hand over to the new caretaker chairman.
The new caretaker chairman, Corm Gbenga Aladesanmi is to work with Conr. Kolawole Joseph as secretary, Comr. Niyi Alabi as treasurer and Comr. Ade Omoyajowo as PRO
