By Collins Dupson, 2nd December, 2021

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Akoko North West Local Government Area Council of Ondo State, Dr Niyi Solomon Awotomilusi (NSA) has disclosed that, he left the party to the opposition People’s Democratic Party in other to join the forces that will rescue the nation from the mis-govenance of the ruling APC.

Dr Awotomilusi who was a former House of Representatives aspirant under APC said the only political party that has the capacity to salvage Nigeria from total collapse is PDP.

In his words, ” Before now, we were deceived by the change mantra of APC but reverse is the case as the change they promised Nigerians turns out to be ruse. On every indices, be it economy, security, infrastructure, welfare, education among others, the ruling APC has failed”.

NSA as popularly called said APC lack the capacity to manage the nation, noting that the country is better off during PDP administration when compare to the mal-administration and mis-govenance of the ruling party in Nigeria.

” When Dr Goodluck Jonathan was in power, Nigeria was rated as the biggest economy in Africa but today, where are we as a nation? So, we need to go back to where we belong, PDP, a party that has what it takes to rescue our nation from total collapse”.

Dr Awotomilusi further noted that, his defection at this period is the best political decision having seen it all in APC as nothing good can come out of a party that exploited and extorted it members, aside lacking structure, organisation, oneness and unity.

” The leadership of APC from the wards to state levels lack capacity and exposure; what will a party that lack industrial exposure add to the economy of the state? They can’t take us to our promise land because the capacity and ability to do so is not there and for us not to sink with the wrecked ship of APC, we need to move to the PDP to salvage the country’s situation”.

Meanwhile, welcoming Dr Awotomilusi and others to the party, the State Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Fatai Adams promised equal rights to every decampee, saying PDP umbrella is big enough to accommodate everyone.
