At the Ward 9 in Akure South Local Government, Barr Olumuyiwa Adu won the All Progressive Congress primaries for Ondo Central Senatorial District ahead of Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire and Dr Taiwo Fashoranti.
Adu scored 288 as against Adegbonmire and Fashoranti who scored 33 and 143 respectively.
