Uloro Communities Rural Roads Revamped As Residents Thank Hon Akingbaso

The dwellers of Ajowa community, a kingdom under Idanre local government heaved a sigh of relief as the Member, House of Representatives, representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Hon. Festus Olanrewaju Akingbaso(Fessy West) facilitated the rehabilitation of rural access road across the Federal Constituency.

The first phase of the project began on January 15, 2024, at Ifedore where an estimated 80km of the access road was rehabilitated.

It is on record that the incumbent MHR, Hon. Akingbaso had undertaken a similar feat in preparation for the last general elections when he promised that roads that lead to the farmstead would receive adequate attention when voted for and in the fulfilment of that, he had waited till the dry season to commence the rehabilitation of the rural access road.

The Senior Legislative Aide, Hon. Oluwole Fakologbon with other Aides flagged off the project at the Aba Aye intersection where various community heads were in attendance for the flag-off.

Some of the covered areas in Ifedore include Igbara Oke Zone- Aba Aye, Olorunda, Onijaka, Elemo, Alaranoogun, Ona Ogunmodede at Molete, Ajeoku (Shasha), Isharun and Ibuji access roads.

Ilaramokin Zone- Olorunkemi, Temidire (House Bakare street ), Klova and Ireakari streets. Others are Obada market square, Abuja street and classic Hotel Road with with others in Ibule to Oke Iwoye side, Aganna road while the flanks of the roads were touched at Ipogun.

At the Ijare zone, the Palace Road at Irese, Ona Odo, Aaye to Ijare, Ona Odo Eku and many others were not left out.

The second phase of the access road rehabilitation kicked off with pomp at the Alajowa Community where the dwellers trooped out in the tenths to show their solidarity and excitement for the project.

The ceremony kicked off with Hon Adekunle Akinlalu representing the facilitator for keeping to his electoral promises and assured the people that many interesting and beneficial projects are in the offing before declaring open phase 2 of the scheme.

Reacting on behalf of the communities, Mr Johnson Akinseye appreciated the MHR, Hon Festus Akingbaso for a promise kept and prayed for him to be divinely guided in discharging his duties, he further remarked that it was over a decade since they enjoyed such similar privilege and that they warmly appreciated the gesture.

The rehabilitation work later commenced from the adjourning major highway to Uloro 1 and later covered Uloro 2 before moving to another access road in the community.

Reacting via a phone call, Hon. Festus Akingbaso appreciated the community and promised that more dividends of democracy are in the offing as he said most access roads in the federal constituency shall be accessible to the farmers and other dwellers.
