Pa Michael Taiwo Arowosafe Clocks 89

An elder stateman, Pa Michael Taiwo Arowosafe (JP) has clocked 89th years of age. The birthday thanksgiving was held at Christ Apostolic Church ,Oke Lisa Akure, Ondo State.

The birthday ceremony was celebrated in accordance with the Covid-19 protocol at the church and reception was held at the event hall of St David Anglican Church , Ijomu, Akure.

Pa Arowosafe is a devoted Christian that believes in word of God and contributed immensely to the body of Christ.

In a glowing tribute by families, friends and church members, he was described as a Godly man and great encourager.
While testifying to his kind gesture, many landlords and landladies attributed his word of encouragement and support to what made them owner of houses in Akure today.

“He is a prayer warrior and ardent believer of Bible, there is no verses in the Bible that he can not recite off hands”.

A lover of peace, accommodating, a progressive minded person that is always praying for the progress of his family and acquaintance.

He belongs to different associations in the church, whatever that will ensure the progress of the church, Pa Arowosafe will surely contribute.

While speaking to PATH Correspondent, Elder Sesan Arowosafe, said his father cherished education and investing one’s resources in building, saying his father is one in a million.

On his part, Pastor Ezekiel Arowosafe described his father as a lover of both biological and spiritual children, adding that he is very happy to have a peace loving, hard working and a great supporter as a father.

Engr Victor Arowosafe, the State General Secretary of LECAN in Ondo State, described his father as a caring, hardworking and God fearing man. ” You taught us how to be independent and morally upright. May God keep you for us in good health to enjoy the fruits of your labour”.


Pa Micheal Taiwo Arowosafe (JP) was born to the family of Chief Daniel Oni Arowosafe (The Elejoka of Akure Land) and Mrs Deborah Arowosafe in Akure on the 2nd January 1932 both of blessed Memory.

He attended St Peter Primary School, Amudipe, Akure between 1945 and 1949. He was transferred to Ikere Ekiti after being double promoted to continue his study.

He was unable to continue his study due to the his mother ailments and the prevailing condition of his father’s farm. As a kind hearted young boy that loves his parents, he bowed out of school and later joined Public Work Department (PWD) in April 20,1955 which later became Ministry of Works and Housing after the creation of Old Ondo State in February 1976.

Pa Arowosafe worked faithfully and diligently in the Building Department of the ministry for 33 years after which he retired on 8th September 1986.

In his quest for spiritual service to Almighty God, he attended the Way of Peace Ministry in conjunction with the International School of Ministry where he obtained a Certificate of Biblical Studies in 16th June, 2005. He later performed holy pilgrimage to Jerusalem in December 2009.

In his service to humanity, Pa Arowosafe joined the Federal Road Safety Corps, Special Marshal Forum and Police Community Relationship Committee (PCRC) Akure South Local Government, Ondo State, ‘A’Divisions, Akure. He was also a distinguished and friend of the church, Ijomu in January, 2018.

He is married with two wives and blessed with children and many grandchildren.
