Following the gruesome murdered of scores of catholic worshippers in Owo on Sunday, Otunba Benji Oloye, a community leader has condemned the act, describing the perpetrators of the dastardly act as evil, callous and satanic.
Otunba Benji joined millions Nigerian to condemned unprovoked attack and killing of innocent people of Owo, worshiping at the St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, Owo.
While commiserating with the Catholic Church and families of the victims, he called for an urgent apprehension of those behind the heinous killing.
” Government at all levels must act fast to fish out the killers of these innocent worshippers. I commesirate with Governor Akeredolu, Catholic Church, families of victims and Owo Community; it is indeed a Black Sunday in Owo community”.
He described the vile and satanic attack is a calculated assault on the peace-loving people of Owo Kingdom who have enjoyed relative peace over the years.
His words: ” I sent my heart felt sympathy to the families of the victims, the Catholic Church and I wish people that sustained injuries speedy recovery”.
He described the attacks as one too many in the ancient town, noting that not quite long an expatriate was kidnapped and his security attache was killed.
“This was a calculated attack on the governor who hailed from Owo for his outspokenness on issues of security and the entire Yoruba nation should see it as war against us and, not on Ondo State alone”.
