Abiola Emerges Ondo PRP Presidential Flagbearer

…As Party conducts dis-centralized Primary Election

The People’s Redemption Party (PRP), Ondo State Chapter has held its Presidential Shadow Election which had 4 contestants in parade.

The peaceful and well organized Election was conducted at the Party Secretariat, Ilesha Road Akure, Ondo State on Sunday, 5th of July in the presence of INEC Officials.

96 Delegates were accredited and at the end of the process, the son of the late June 12, 1993 Presidential Election acclaimed winner, Lateef Kolawole Abiola came out victorious to defeat three other Aspirants.

Kola Abiola who is the son of the late MKO Abiola, polled 92 votes out of the 96 valid votes to defeat Gboluga Mosudu and Usman Bugaje who polled 1 vote respectively, and Patience Ndidi Key with 0 vote.

The Party had settled for a de-centralized Primary Election to elect her Presidential flag bearer come 2023 elections, as Primary Elections were held simultaneously in all the States of the Federation.

Speaking with news men at the venue of the Election , the State Chairman of the Party, Deacon. Oluwasesan Oladele, appreciates the Delegates for conducting themselves in an orderly manner, stating that the Presidential Primary in Ondo State was a success and the People’s Redemption Party was leading the way in Party administration.

He noted that this will be the first time in the history of Nigeria that a Presidential Primary will be conducted in each State of the Federation.
He therefore appealed to Nigerians to vote for the People’s Redemption Party in the forthcoming general election in 2023.

In his words, ” since the People’s Democratic Party and the All Progressive Congress have failed the country, PRP is coming with a new plan, a new Agenda and we are on course for a new rebirth in Nigeria”.

Also, the National Deputy Youth Leader of the Party, who is also the State Chairman of the PRP Presidential Primary Election, Mr. Frederick Important said the party has come out with a new idea, which all Political Parties should emulate, saying that it is a form of a decentralized Primary Election.

“The election was free, fair, and transparent and the outcome was accepted by all. This is one of the most peaceful elections I have ever witnessed as a person.” He said.

In the meantime, the Agent for one of the Presidential Candidates Gboluga Mosudu, Dr Charles Akiniranoye, while speaking with journalists, emphasized that the election went well, and the counting of the votes was plain, everybody could see it, and there was no funny dealings.
