OSAG REFUTES COMRADE DAISI ARTISAN’S LEADERSHIP CLAIMS, CAUTIONS, ASIWAJU MANDATE GROUP DG, MUYIWA ASAGUNLA

Following the illegal and unathourized meeting of Comrade Daisi Komolafe with the Director General of the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) in Akure today, 28th August, the leadership of the Ondo State Artisans Group (OSAG) has issued a statement condemning the act saying Comrade Adefioye Gbenga Gure led excos is the only authorized body that can speak on behalf of the union.

In a Press Statement made available to Newsmen signed by the President, it was clearly stated that, the Director General of AMG, Asiwaju Muyiwa Asagunla should be wary of dealing with Comrade Daisi and his cohorts who are after self aggrandizement.

The President asked Asiwaju Asagunla not to be deceived by self praised of securing 367,000 man support for president Tinubu second term ambition, saying he possess no such power to garvanize support for the president.

” Comrade Daisi Komolafe ceased to represent the state artisan since the expiration of his tenure two years ago as State President. Ondo State Artisans Group is now under the new leadership of Comrade Adefioye Gbenga Gure who has the capacity to organize 1 million March for the president”.

He added that, Comrade Daisi is only an appointee of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Artisans Matter, with no power to represent Artisan’s Group in Ondo State in any capacity but to coordinate Artisan’s in the State based on his appointment.

“If Asiwaju Mandate Group wants to work with Artisan Groups in Ondo State and secure the needed support and endorsement, Comrade Gure led excos is the right persons to approach rather than dealing with people with interior motives”

The meeting doesn’t include the leadership of United Artisans which comprises Carpenter and Furniture Makers Union (C/F), Nigeria Automobile Technician Association (NATA), Ondo State Artisan’s and Trader’s Union (OSATU), Hairdressers Association and Tailor Association of Nigeria (TAN).

For clarity, those on the entourage of Comrade Daisi to the state Secretariat of AMG are not members of OSAG. We shall not fold our hands and allow some self serving people to tarnish the Union image under the umbrella of Artisan.

“Sola Oyesola acclaimed NUT Chairman, an arm out of 5 splitted tailoring group doesn’t belong to any Artisan body in Ondo State while Mr. Ife Morgan is a jobless man roaming around the street of Akure, he doesn’t belong to any Artisan group in Ondo State”.

“We enjoin Asiwaju Asagunla to connect with the authorized body of Artisan Groups in Ondo State rather than wasting time and resources on people with interior motives. Comrade Adefioye Gbenga Gure led excos is the right channel to approach as far as Artisans support for President Tinubu is concern”.
