Onyendu Ndi-Igbo in Ondo State, High Chief Kingsley Chukwuma Congratulates Gov. Aiyedatiwa

The Onyendu Ndi-Igbo in Ondo State, High Chief Kingsley Chukwuma has joined other well-wishers to congratulate the newly sworn-in Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, asking the non indigenes residing in the state to cooperate with his administration.

High Chief Kingsley Chukwuma who doubles as the National Vice Chairman, Council of Ndi-Ndu Ndi-Igbo in Diaspora promised the governor of maximum support of Igbos Community in Ondo State.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa took oath of office as the 7th Executive Governor of Ondo State following the demise of Late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN.

Speaking with the PATH, the Onyendu Ndi-Igbo charged Governor Aiyedatiwa to complete every ongoing projects of his Late Boss.

His words: “I am also using this medium to congratulate His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his responsibility as the 7th Executive Governor of our dear Sunshine State. I pray for divine wisdom and knowledge to govern the state”.

“As you assume your new role, we believe that your wealth of experience, integrity, and passion for the security of the people will continue to guide you in leading the state towards progress and prosperity”.

He urged the people of the state to support and cooperate with the governor to move Ondo State to the next level of development while also urging the governor to have a place for the Igbos in his administration.

” We are very hopeful that the newly sworn-in governor will consolidate on the achievements recorded by the Late Governor in the area of workers welfare, security among other sectors. We the Igbos Community are ready to work with Mr Governor and it wont be out of place if our listening Governor consider us for appointment in his government”.

Meanwhile, High Chief Kingsley also joined other sympathizers to mourn the demise of the Governor of Ondo State, Late Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, describing him as a fearless fighter whose legacy would be remembered by unborn generation.

He noted that the news of the governor’s death was received with rude shock saying the vacuum created by the Governor’s exit would take a long time to fill in term of Aketi fearlessness, boldness and openness while attending to both State and National issues.

“On behalf of the Ndi-Igbo residing in Ondo State, I commiserate with members of Governor Akeredolu immediate family, government of Ondo State, APC, residents of Ondo State as we mourn our dear governor, who has done his bits and passed on to be with his Creator”.

He traversed this earth as a true exemplar of astute leadership, embodying the essence of a genuine leader. This is indeed a colossal loss to Ondo State and the nation at large.

“I mourn the loss of a voice of conscience, a man who stood steadfastly in defence of his people and nation, even in the face of overwhelming challenges”.
