2025 EID-EL-FITRI: Why We Should Continue To Pray For Our Leaders- Alhaji Dangari

The Sarkin Shasha Community in Oba-Ile, Akure North Local Government of Ondo State, Alhaji Shehu Abdullahi Dangari has given reasons why Nigerians should continue to pray for the country’s leaders at all time.

The Sarkin stated this at the Eid ground in Shashà Market during the prayers to celebrate the just concluded Ramadan fasting.

Members of the Hausa community and other Muslims faithfuls gathered in their thousands to offer prayers to God for the grace to see the beginning and end of Ramadan.

Speaking with PATH NEWS on the lessons of the celebration, Alhaji Dangari admonished Muslims to remain steadfast in prayers not just for themselves but for the leaders.

His words: As a good citizen, we must continue to pray for our leaders at all time because our continuous prayers will help in redirecting their steps in bringing good governance, rather than cursing them, let pray for God guidance for them”.

He said it is important to continue to pray for the leaders as their actions will impact on everyone in the community.

He also charged them not to go back into habits they had denied self during the season. “Now that fasting is over, all bad habits left behind during Ramadan period, they should not go back to it again”.

He appealed to the rich and wealthy people in the society to always remember the poor and needy saying they should learn and emulate the act of giving as stated in the Holy Quran.

Speaking on the security challenges bedeviling the country and Ondo State, he urged everyone to be security conscious and report any security breach to the security agencies in the state.

” Security of lives and property should not be left in the hands of government alone, we have roles to play as individual or community. We should endeavors to report any suspect to relevant security agencies in the state”.

Alhaji Dangari commended the governor of Ondo State for the steps so far taken in restoring security back to the state, assuring him of the cooperation and support of Shasha Community.

In the same vein, the Secretary of the community, Alhaji (Hon) Aminu Jubril congratulated all Muslims within and outside Ondo State for the grace to witness the end of another Ramadan.

He said the season calls for sober reflection and sacrifice and that the people should also continue to support their leaders with prayers.

Alhaji Aminu enjoined both the indigenes and non indigenes to live peacefully saying they should not allow religion and tribal sentiment to divide them.

He restated the place of giving to the less privileged as fasting teaches both the rich and the poor the situation of lives.
