The High Court of Justice in Ondo State has affirmed Oba Alex Akinnadeju as the rightful Oba-elect of Alade-Idanre.
Delivering her judgement, Justice Adejumo of the High Court 8 Akure stated that Oba Alex Akinnadeju from Akinnadeju Dynasty of the ancient community remains the Oba of the community and thereafter dismissed the Suit filed by one Otunba Akingbaso who is a settler and from female lineage at Alade against the selection of Oba Alex Akinnadeju from male lineage as Oba elect.It will be recalled that Oba Alex Akinnadeju was duly selected by the government authorities as Oba elect of Alade Idanre over six months ago.
Reacting to the judgement,Oba Alex Akinnadeju averred that the judgement is a welcome development and admonished all and sundry to join hands with him in the task of developing the ancient community.
In his words “now that i have received favourable judgement from the Court,i will do everything possible to move Alade forward.I will use my position and connection to attract a tertiary institution to Alade-Idanre while artisans, market traders,youth, widows among others will benefit from my largesse.” Oba Alex Akinnadeju declared.
Oba(Hon) Alex Akinnadeju a two term Chairman of Idanre Local Government ,a former frontline Honourable Member Ondo State House of Assembly from 1999-2003 and renowned industrialist enjoined Alade Idanre indigenes home and Diaspora to participate wholeheartedly in the task of developing the ancient community.
