Barr Felix Kolawole Alonge, the Senior Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Social Investment Programme has extended warm felicitation to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the people of the Sunshine State on the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the State.
In a congratulatory message made available to the PATH, Alonge described the golden jubilee as a moment of invaluable gratitude to Almighty God and renewed commitment to more development of the state.
He commended the founding fathers who agitated for the creation of Ondo State, saying their names will forever be remembered in the history of the state.
” Let me salute the resilient efforts of our founding fathers who agitated for the creation of Ondo State. These were men and women of great vision, true patriots who sacrificed their time and resources for the Ondo State we are celebrating today. History won’t forget their courage and foresight in the state creation “.
The SSA saluted Governor Aiyedatiwa for the State Honours to be conferred on these heroes who have written their names in gold, noting that, generations unborn will meet their legacy as the brain behind the state creation.
He congratulated the governor for being the sitting governor whose God ordained to be at the helm of affairs when the state clocked 50, saying, indeed, Governor Aiyedatiwa is a lucky man in all ramifications.
While rejoicing with the people of the state, Alonge recognized the resilience, industry and rich culture of the people of Ondo state, saying Ondo State is unique among the comity of states in South West and Nigeria in terms of natural resources, academic property, Omoluwabi ethos among others.
Alonge further commended Governor Aiyedatiwa leadership and administration in the last one year in office, saying the giant strides recorded in infrastructure, urban development, security, education, agriculture among others distinguished him as one of the best governors Ondo State has produced in the last 50 years.
He assured the people of Ondo State that, at the expiration of Governor Aiyedatiwa tenure in office, Ondo State people will not only remember the governor for immediate achievements but also for his legacy projects that will stand the test of time.
He enjoined the people of the state to cooperate with the governor and support every policy and programme of his administration, noting that, in the next 50 years, Ondo State would definitely surpass it’s current state, both in human and physical development.
