Comrade Babatunde Francis Alli has emerged the governorship candidate of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) ahead of the November 16 Governorship Election in Ondo State.
He emerged through consensus as party delegates across the 18 Local Governments of the state assembled at the State Party’s Secretariat in Akure to affirmed his nomination at the party’s candidate.
The exercise was monitored by the INEC, National and State Executives of PRP, Security Agencies and other relevant stakeholders were all in attendance to monitor the primary.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Babatunde Francis Ali thanked party’s leadership both at the national and state levels, delegates for placing their trust in him to represent the party in the November Governorship Election.
” Your unwavering support and belief in my ability to lead our great state to prosperity are truly humbling, and I am committed to fulfilling this mandate with integrity, dedication and unwavering resolve in alliance with the principles that guides our great party”.
He promised to tackle unemployment, poverty, lack of access to quality education and healthcare headlong once he is elected as the next governor of Ondo Ondo State.
“It is time to rise above the challenges and work tirelessly to salvage our state from impoverishment and despair ‘.
He pledged to prioritize the needs of the people of Ondo State, listen to their concerns and implement policies and initiatives that will bring about tangible and lasting change.
He further added that his government will run a proactive, innovative, systematic government using the tools of technology, relevance and applicable expertise, inclusive and robust consultation to make Ondo State an economically visible state with fulfilled, safe and truly progressive people.
While solicited for their support and cooperation in the forthcoming poll, Comrade Babatunde asked for their continue prayers and encouragement as they embark on the journey to Alagbaka Government House.
“With determination, unity and a shared vision for a better tomorrow, I am confident that we will overcome any obstacle and emerge victorious in the November 2024 Governorship Election”.
