The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Chairman, Akure South Local Government Chapter, Comrade Oluwatuyi Olasoji has described Comrade Bola Taiwo,the State President of the Union achievements unprecedented, worthy of emulation by whoever will succeed him.
He made this disclosure while chatting with the PATH NEWS at the NULGE House in Akure, Ondo State Capital.
Speaking, SOJ as popularly called said the administration of Comrade Bola Taiwo has recorded giant strides that will forever remain evergreen in the history of the union.
He noted that his administration has done extremely well in capacity building, training and retraining of local government workers.
Comrade Olasoji further said that, Comrade Bola Taiwo established Bakery that is producing NULGE Bread,Pension Scheme for local government workers, signing of Cheque by the DGSA and seminar for drivers in all the local government.
His words: ” One of the greatest achievements of Comrade Bola Taiwo administration is the relative peace among every member of the union. He built his tenure on love, unity and peace which is one of the reasons why he was able to achieve a lot”.
SOJ added that through the efforts of the president, local government workers in the state were promoted as and when due with immediate financial benefits, saying several staff have been converted and absorbed.
He stated further that through the president initiative and support of the Akeredolu led government, he ensured grounded Graders in the local government were replaced with new ones.
The Chairman lauded the Health Scheme of the president as Clinics were established in the 21 branches of NULGE across the state, saying the scheme is the first of its kind in the history of the Union in Ondo State.
Comrade Olasoji said local government workers are receiving their salary promptly due to the implementation of NFIU spearhead by the president, saying the local government are fully in charge of their fund without government interference.
His words: ” Except the two months arrears owing us, the government of the day is trying but the president has assured us of the payment before leaving office”.
