“Our flag is not just one of many political points of view. Rather, the flag is a symbol of our national unity”-Adrian Cronauer

When a nation is united, it is an unstoppable one, the Independence we enjoy today is a product of the sacrifices of our founding fathers, Patriots, and Leaders. From the heyday of Sir Herbert Macaulay to the stoic and dynamic Chief Anthony Enahoro, it was pure persistence in united in fighting Imperialism for our Independence.

They were resolute, and non-violent but dogged in the quest to have an independent country, despite the risks they faced from the British Government. They employed the Trade Unions, Press, mass movements, and others to press their demand. They succeeded because of unity.

“There is unity in diversity, there is diversity in unity”. – Henry Tullidge

The antics and postures of the British ruler were not strong enough to break their ranks because of unity and when it was October 1, 1960, Nigeria 🇳🇬 was liberated as an Independent Country.

, “We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.” Martins L. King Jnr

If the past Nigerian leaders could unite and build a virile foundation despite teething challenges, then if we come together as one in this present generation, we can surpass them and build an enviable Country. Unity abhors greed, avarice, and tribalism but embraces Patriotism and Selfishness.

I charge my Federal Constituents, Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency and the entire Nigerians to unite, rebuild, and make the nation an enviable one in the shape of the founding fathers’ dream.

God bless Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency
God bless Ondo State
God bless Nigeria
