National Award: Ondo Newspaper Publishers Congratulate Akeredolu, Deji, Others

Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers (AINP) Ondo State Chapter has joined thousands of well wishers to congratulate Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi and four other Indigenes of the state on the national honour conferred on them by President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR.

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, received the National Honours Award of the Commander of the Order of the Niger, CON while the Chairman Council of Obas in Ondo State, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi was Conferred with CFR.

Other recipient are the Olowa of Igbara-Oke, Oba Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede, OFR, the Special Adviser on Health to the Governor, Prof. Adedayo Faduyile, OON, Prince Rotimi Ibidapo, OON and Chief Akin Aruwajoye, OON.

The National Honour was conferred on Governor Akeredolu and other recipients by President Muhammadu Buhari at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, on Tuesday.

In a released signed by the president of the association, Prince Adefemi Ojopagogo, the publishers said the awards bestowed on Akeredolu and Deji are well deserved considering their contributions to nation building.

” The honour done on the governor and the paramount ruler of Akure Kingdom is a testimony of their various contributions to community and national development”

“Governor Akeredolu fearless spirit and courage in defending the territorial boundaries of Ondo State against all odds was noticed by President Muhammadu Buhari led government, morealso, Akeredolu is one man that belief in one indivisible Nigeria’.

” Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, the Deji of Akure is a pride not only to Akure Kingdom but to Nigeria at large. His reign has been peaceful and bring rapid development to his domain. He is an advocate of Yoruba Cultural Heritage and will never discriminate against any tribe”.

” As a reputable body of Newspaper Publishers in Ondo State, we are charging the governor and other recipients of the national honour to see the awards as an impetus to continue to do more and contribute to national unity of Nigeria”.
