N585m Palliative Fund Probe: Betta Edu will be vindicated- Prophet Ikuru

The Founder of Jehovah Eyes Salvation Ministry, Prophet Godwin Ikuru has calmed down the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu who is facing allegation of transferring fund made for vulnerable into private account, saying the Minister will be vindicated.

It can be recalled that some civil society organisations called for the sacking of Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu, for directing the payment.

Speaking with Newsmen, Rasheed Zubair, media aide to the Minister, said the N585 million grant for vulnerable groups was approved.

In a message sent to the PATH, the Porthacourt based Prophet said whoever is placed in vital positions is bound to face challenges, adding that Dr Edu trial will not last forever and will be vindicated at the end of the probe.

His words: ” You are in your trial time which is coming from your office that God gave you to serve. I once told you to be careful of the opportunity God placed in your hands because if God gave you opportunity, you must have a trial and the trial is what you are passing through now”.

The Prophet charged the Minister to serve the country sincerely saying President Tinubu placed more confidence in her ability before appointing her to oversee the Ministry of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation.

“You need to sincerely serves and discharge your duty. You must not disappoint the confidence President reposed in your capability to discharge the duty of your office”.

He tasked Dr Edu on the need to give the president the best service and endeavors to clear her name in scandal that is rocking her office.

The award winning Prophet further advised all leaders given the opportunity to serve either in public or private to be diligence and upright while discharging the duty of their respective offices, saying accountability and probity are what the public will demand.

He prayed for God’s knowledge and wisdom as the Minister proof her innocent in the palliative saga.

Meanwhile, the presidency has said that it is investigating the transfer of N585.189 million grant meant for vulnerable groups in Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Ogun and Lagos states into a private account.
