A Jos based Quantity Surveyor, Dr Olasanmoye Rotimi has stated that is ready to serve his people in any capacity provided it will bring rapid development to the ancient city of Owo.

Dr Olasanmoye is a successful Quantity Surveyor of over 30 years experience, sitting as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of a reputable Engineering and Construction Company.

He said his love for the people of Owo inspired the philanthropic spirit of giving his best to both human and physical development of the town.

Dr Olasanmoye is of opinion that, one don’t need to be a billionaire before impacting the lives and well-being of his people. ” You don’t need to be a billionaire before you contribute your little quota to the development of your community”.

He noted that, he decided to rehabilitate some malfunctioned boreholes in the town to ease the suffering of the people aimlessly searching for drinkable water.

” Within my little capacity, I have rehabilitated four boreholes in Ekusi, Ogwaluwa, Ehin Odi and Iloro. This is just a tip of the iceberg of my plans for Owo; more boreholes will be renovated and new ones will be dug if there is need for it”. More students will also benefit from my primary to university scholarship scheme”.

The QS guru asked the well to do sons and daughters of Owo to contribute their quota to the development of the town, saying it shouldn’t be when they are aspiring for any elective position that they will bamboozle the people with emergency empowerment.

According to him, ” If given opportunity to serve my people and Owo community in any elective position, 75 percent of my entitlement will go to humanitarian and community services”.

‘Instead of building castle around and acquiring wealth, it is good to build human capacity and provide empowerment to the less privileged among your people, doing so, is more rewarding than wasting resources on frivolous materials”.

Dr Olasanmoye further said, he hoped to serve Owo community in a broader platforms where more lives would be touched. ‘ It is my plan to serve the people most especially my people. I was privileged to work with a governor for 33 years, serving in another man’s land, it will be more honourable and rewarding serving my people if given the opportunity”.

He promised to continue to contribute his best quota to the development of Owo kingdom, saying the reign of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye III has brought rapid development to the ancient town since ascension to the throne of his forefathers.
