CRISSA 25th Anniversary: I taught for 12 years without a Salary- Folu Adeboye

The Wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian church of God (RCCG), Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye has revealed how she taught for 12 years (Not CRISSA) without collecting a Kobo saying her passion for teaching kept her on the job.

Mummy GO as fondly called was speaking at the 25th Founding Anniversary and Valedictory Ceremony of the Christ The Redeemer’s International Secondary School (CRISSA) held in Akure, Ondo State.

Mrs Adeboye said she became teacher because of the way her teachers was teaching them at that time saying the reverse is the case today as many students are not looking at the way of teaching because of the attitude of their teachers.

She charged the teachers to be faithful and show love to their students, noting that the common saying that teachers reward is now on earth is not the best but heavenly reward should be the ultimate.

Mummy GO urged the teachers to go for fresher courses to boost their academic qualifications, saying the students are expecting nothing but the best from them.

She further tasked the parents to monitor their children closely while advising the graduants to see their exit from the school as a new challenge and always endear to be a good ambassador of the school wherever they might found themselves.

Speaking the Principal of the School, Deaconess Modupe Akinsooto expressed profound gratitude to the wife of RCCG General Overseer, Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye for gracing the 25th Anniversary of the school with her presence.

She added that Mummy GO has been a partner in progress since the school was established 25 years back, saying his commitment, advice and support has kept the school going.

The Principal further congratulated the graduants on their Valedictory Ceremony and Management of the school for the journey of 25 years.

She enjoined the graduating students to inculcate the morals and values they have learned from the school into their daily activities.

Some of the highlight of the Programme includes prayers for the graduating students, presentation of gifts to Best Graduating Students, Awards to outstanding Staff, Past Principal, Bursars among others.
