BARR OGUNDEJI JIMOH, IJU YOUTH PRESIDENT BAGS CASOAN HUMANITARIAN SERVICES AWARD

In recognition of his humanitarian services to the society, the National body of the Chemist and Supermarket Owners Association of Nigeria (CASOAN) has bestowed Merit Award in Humanitarian Services on Barrister Ogundeji Jimoh Ayodeji.

The decoration was done at the 1st National Convention of the association held at Akure South Local Government Auditorium in Akure, Capital of Ondo State.

CASOAN was a reputable association registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission with sole aim of protecting the right of its members at all times.

Speaking with the PATH, the Barrister in Law thanked the association for the honour bestowed on him, saying he never knew his little contributions to humanity is being noticed but a reputable association like CASOAN.

In his words, ” If I say I am happy, it is an understatement; I am more than happy and I appreciate God for giving me the heart of giving and wherewithal to contribute my quota to the society”.

He commended the leadership of the association for putting up the programme most especially at this period of Covid-19, saying the roles of chemist practitioners in the society can never be underestimated.

” The slogan of CASOAN is ” We Value Life”; your service is very important and unique as life savers. We cannot but appreciate your roles but on advisory note, continue to render your services with integrity and fear of God in your heart”.

Barr Ogundeji who doubled as the Youth President of Iju disclosed that for as long as he lives, service to humanity will continue to dominate his thinking, asking well to do in the society to always remember the downtrodden at all times.

” My own is to serve the youth and society at large; I am not limiting myself to Iju Community alone or my local government but to the entire state, Nigeria and the world.

On the same vein, another awardee, High Chief Oladimeji Ademoyewa, the Ejimikin of Iju appreciates the association for counting him worthy among plenty for the prestigious award, urging every member of the association to operate their trades within the ambit of law guilding their profession in Ondo State.

The Convention guest speaker who speaks on drug abuse and misuse tasked CASOAN members to value life above profit making, adding that misuse of drugs and abuse have sent many people to their early grave.

Meanwhile, the National President of the association thanked its members for their cooperation and support ever since she took the mantle of leadership of the association.

She assured them of her efforts in making sure the association get to all the 36 states of the federation. ” As of today, we covered six states and my leadership is not resting on its oars in making sure the remaining states key into our mission statement of saving lives and liberating our members from unnecessary burden”.

On his part, the National General Secretary of the association, Pastor Ayeleyin Joshua scored the convention high and commended its members for turning out in large number, saying the association is just three years old with members in six states of the federation.

He charged CASOAN members to continue to spread the gospel of liberation, adding that the main objective of the association is liberating members from burden and also prioritize their welfare.

The National Secretary further advised them to refrain from selling illegal and fake drugs, asking them to be law abiding in all their dealings.
