ASIWAJU OF IGBO, SIR TITUS UMEWENKE BAGS HEART OF GOLD LEADERSHIP AWARD

The Asiwaju of Ndigbo in Akure, the capital city of Ondo State, Sir Titus Umewenke has been conferred with the Heart Of Gold Leadership Award by the management of Today’s News Magazine.

The Award ceremony that took place at NUJ PRESS CENTER witnessed large turn out of important dignitaries among whom are the Chief Registrar Ondo State High Court Mrs Bolatito Ajibade,the Ondo State President Timber Trades Organization Otunba Ayo Akinnadeju, His Royal Highness Oba Sunday Adewale Boboye, President Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria, Sir Love Olawumi, Prince Samuel Oluyori from Kogi State among others.

Speaking during the presentation of the award to the Asiwaju Ndigbo in Akure, Prince Adefemi Ojopagogo who double as the Publisher of Today’s News and the President Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria, Ondo State Chapter described Asiwaju as a reputable business mogul who has contributed immensely to the economy development of Akure and Ondo State in general.

” Asiwaju, your noble contributions to the economy of Ondo State is incomparable; you have received a lot of awards, laurels and medals as most outstanding business man in Ondo State. No wonder, the Deji of Akure installed you as Asiwaju Ndigbo in Akure Kingdom”.

The publisher further described the awardee as a peace loving personality, sincere, straight forward and man of integrity who have impacted many lives through his philanthropic gestures.

“Sir since you established your various businesses in Akure and other parts of the State, you have mopped up some of our youths and gave them employments. Many of them that passed through your mentorship are proud owners of their various businesses across Nigeria today”, Ojopagogo averred.

Reacting, the awardee appreciated the Management of Today’s News Magazine and promised to do everything possible to add value to the society and continue to participate in the growth of the economy of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.

He assured the Publisher of the magazine of his commitment to the development of the media organization at all time.
