Ondo State APC Elders’Caucus has extended gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu uncommon zeal in resolving the political crisis rocking Ondo State, saying the president has again proven himself as a leader that value peace and harmony across the country.
It could be recalled that Elders in Ondo State have expressed worry over the lingering political crisis in the state concerning the governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu; his deputy, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa; and the state House of Assembly.
In a Communique issued by the Elders’ Caucus at the end of the meeting held in Akure on Wednesday 13th December 2023, the Elders commended the political solution proferred which has restored normalcy back to the state.
The Communique was jointly signed by Chief Jamiu Ekungba, BOT Member and Secretary of the APC Elders Caucus, Otunba Agboola Kelly.
“We thank the President on behalf of all members of the APC in Ondo State and promised not to forget this among so many other special interest our president has bestowed on us”.
The Elders called on the good people of Ondo State to continue to pray fervently for the quick recovery of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
While wholeheartedly welcomed Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa to his new responsibility as Acting Governor of Ondo State, the Elders assured him of their unflinching support to build a formidable team around him in his running of effective government machineries of Ondo State.
They further promised to deal with any miscreants who may wish to misbehave or disturb the peace of the state.
The APC Elders expressed their profound gratitude to Baba Rueben Fasoranti, Afenifere Group and all the Elders’ Statesmen that stood with the state during trying period.
