Akeredolu A Promise Keeper, As Shasha Community Mourns

The Leadership of the Shasha Community, Oba-Ile in Akure North Local Government has described the late Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN as a promise keeper saying history won’t forget him as one of the best governors the state has produced.
Speaking with the PATH NEWS on behalf of the community, the Secretary of Shasha Community, Alhaji Jubril Aminu said the news of the governor death was received with rude shock saying Allah giveth and taketh at His appointed time.
Alhaji Aminu said the ability to speak and fulfill promises is what stand the late governor out among other politicians in the country saying Late Akeredolu promised to help the community with the building of Culverts and he never reneged in his promise.
” Most of the amenities we are enjoying at Shasha Community were through communal efforts and when the governor promised to build Culvets for us, we were not doubting him because of his personality. Today, the late governor constructed three bridges for us”.
The Secretary added that aside Dr Olusegun Agagu of blessed memory, the only governor that look the way of the community in terms of infrastructure was Akeredolu.
” When we bought this place, Governor Agagu instructed the then Commissioner of Works to facilitate the clearing and grading of the land which took them 30 days. Aside Agagu, Akeredolu was another governor that came to Shasha Community and provide succour to us.
He said the construction of the three culverts brought relief to the residents of the community who were always afraid whenever there is rain fall.
Alhaji Aminu said the commisioning of the Community Health Centre was another credit of Akeredolu led administration saying through the collaboratoon of the government, World Bank Community Project helped in reconstruction of the plank erected Health Centre to international standard that can compete with any Centre in Ondo State.
His words: ” We deserve to feel the impact of the government in our community. We contribute to the economy of the state directly and indirectly. We have no place to go because this is our home and we are determine to be partners in progress in developing Ondo State”.
While congratulating the new administration under the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, he urged him to sustain and complete the ongoing projects of his late Boss, believing Governor Aiyedatiwa won’t derail from the blue print he inherited.
‘ With the instructions asking Contractors to return to sites, it has shown that Governor Aiyedatiwa is ready to sustain the legacies laid by the Late Governor”.
He appealed to the governor to approve the construction and tarring of roads within the Shasha Market and the residential area saying the Late Governor has promised to tarr the roads before his demise.
” The roads in question is not up to 3km but it will gladden our heart if Mr Governor prioritize its approval for construction in no distance time”..
The Secretary advised Hausa and other tribes in Shasha Community to live together in peace saying the unity and cooperation of everyone will bring rapid development to the community and Ondo State at large.
