Again, Barr Olumuyiwa Adu Bags Philanthropist Award From Oil Africa Leadership Magazine

A stalwart of the People’s Democratic party in Ondo State, Barrister Olumuyiwa Adu has again been conferred with the Outstanding Philanthropist Award by the Oil Africa Magazine.

The award presentation was conferred on him at the 2022 Oil Africa Leadership Awards held at the International Event Centre, The Dome in Akure, Ondo State.

Dr Akin Egbuwalo, Publisher of Oil Africa Magazine said Barrister Adu was considered for the honour based on his outstanding leadership quality in oil sector and philanthropist gesture to the less privileged in the society.

While speaking with the PATH, the Akure born politician said he will continue to render assistance to the less privileged in the society for as long as he lives.

He attributed the myriad of problems facing the country on bad leadership and lazy followers who are wasting away their productive time visiting politician houses.

“It is high time Nigerians should move away from political leaders and followers that move from one politician house to another but rather sit at the comfort of their homes, listen to manifestos of politician and political parties on television and decide who to vote for”.

He said he doesn’t needs to occupy political position first before extending hands of love to the less privileged saying that was what God called him do.

“Leadership is our problem, who could that individual be that will be courageous enough to the right thing?”

He faulted the importation of refined crude oil into Nigeria, saying failure of leadership led to incessant scarcity of petroleum in the country.
