Aare Babaloja/ Babalaje General Ondo State Congratulates Akeredolu Over Supreme Court Verdict

Following the petition brought before the Supreme Court by the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Eyitayo Jegede SAN over the declaration of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN of the All Progressive Congress by INEC in the October 10th 2020 gubernatorial election as the duly elected governor, the Apex court has laid to rest the case as four out of the seven Justices have upheld the verdict of the Court of Appeal.

While congratulating the Governor, the Aare Babaloja/ Babalaje General of Ondo State and Ondo Kingdom, Chief Adebayo Stephen Adebowale said the victory was well deserved considering the overwhelming support and votes given to the governor during the October 10th governorship election in the state.

According to him, the sterling performance of Mr. Governor during his first term in office made his second term in office possible, which explains why the people of the state went into wild jubilations after the verdict of the Supreme court was announced.

In his words, “on behalf of the National and State Executives Board of Trustees of National Traders and Market Leaders Council of Nigeria( NATMALC), I congratulate our amiable Governor,Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu,the Executive Governor of Ondo State, over his victory against Jegede”.

He assured the governor of maximum support of all the market women and men across the state, adding that like Oliver Twist, they will appreciate continual patronage of the association by the Akeredolu led government.

The Babaloja General further affirmed his leadership as the authentic Babaloja/ Babalaje General of Ondo State and Ondo Kingdom, urging the government to deal directly with his office on issues affecting Market Women in Ondo State.
