In recognition of his selfless contribution to community and human development, Otunba Adefemi Lawal, the Director General of the Kajola Network has been nominated by the PATH NEWS to receive the Ondo State Man of the Year Award 2026 edition.
In the poll conducted by the Award Planning Committee, Otunba Adefemi Lawal beats others selected for the category of the Ondo State Man of the Year, having polled the highest votes cast.
The award presentation would take place on the 27th September, 2026 at OSPDC Multi-Purpose Event Centre, Ijapo Estate Akure, Ondo State.
In a Press Statement released by the Planning Committee, DG Kajola Network was overwhelmingly voted for based on his exemplary leadership and humanitarian services to the people of Owo and Ondo State at large.
Also considered for his nomination was his economic contributions to Ondo State, with chains of businesses within and outside the State, employment generation and adding values to the lives of Indigents in the society.
Part of the activities line up for the program includes public Lecture titled ” 2027:Poll: Godfathers, Money Politics And Electoral Violence In Nigeria: Effect on Free and Fair Elections” to be delivered by Prof Gbenga Abimbola of the Mass Communication Department of AAUA.
Launching of the Pathcare Leadership Foundation, Unveiling of Special Brochure, Award presentation among others side attractions will form part of the activities celebrating PATH @ 8 and the 2026 Sunshine State Achivers Award.
His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State is expected at the occasion as Chief Host and Special Guest of Honour.
The well celebrated Sunshine State Achivers Award would be chaired by Dr Thomas Wilson -Ikubese, the CMD of Skye Hospital and former Presidential Aspirant, and co-chaired by Chief Akindele Omole, the Bobaselu of Odigbo Kingdom, while Otunba Benji Oloye is the Chief Launcher.
All prominent personalities expected at the event include APC State Chairman, Hon Kolawole Babatunde, Sir Olusegun Odusola, Head of Service, Prof Bayo Ilawole, Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Local Government Service Commission, Comrade Fredrick Akinrinlola, NULGE President Ondo State,, CEO/DG of OSRC Media Group, Mr Kenneth Odusola -Stevenson among others personalities.
