2027: Ondo APC Chairman Warns Against Violence, Assures Aspirants of Transparent Primaries

Ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Assembly primary elections holding on Saturday and Monday, the State Chairman of the part, Hon Kolawole Gabriel Babatunde has warned members against violence while assuring aspirants of transparent primaries.

He stated this while feeding questions from journalists at the Party’s Secretariat in Akure, Ondo State.

He urged both the aspirants and members of the party to adhere to peaceful conduct before, during and after the primaries.

” I am appealing to all aspirants across the state, party leaders and members of our great party to shun violence and any actions capable of undermining the credibility of the exercise, This election is our internal party’s affairs and everyone must unite and cooperate together. It is not a do or die affair”.

The Chairman added that, since the stakeholders in the state aggred on direct Primaries, they can be assured of credible and transparent poll at the end of the exercise.

He stated further that, the party had concluded all logistic and security preparations necessary for the smooth conduct of the primaries.

He noted that the party, in collaboration with security agencies, is fully prepared to ensure a seamless and peaceful exercise across all wards.

Kolawole added that the party leadership remains committed to internal cohesion, discipline and unity throughout the process.
