2024: Lade Fasua Lauds Aiyedatiwa Strategic Campaign Meeting With Traditional Rulers, Community Leaders

A Chartered Accountant and Politician, Lade Fasua has commended the campaign strategy applied by the APC Governorship Candidate, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa meeting with the traditional rulers and community leaders, discussing his programmes for their various communities.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, who is the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the off-cycle governorship election, was at the palace of Deji with his deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, and top party members to address the traditional rulers, Chiefs, Olus and other stakeholders in Akure South.

Speaking with the PATH, Fasua said the down to earth approach of the governor and his campaign team will give the custodian of their various communities opportunity to meet the governor, express their challenges and have a first class response from the Governor.

” Mr Governor down to earth approach of reaching out to the custodian of communities which is the first of its kind where a governor will have a sit down with the Royal Fathers, Chiefs, Olus, Market leaders is commendable”.

Fasua added that this is the best form of campaign and mobilization to the grassroot which is different from the normal campaign jamboree where party faithful and supporters gather in one place.

He further stated that the ruling APC can be assured of massive votes from Akure South which has the highest voting population in the state.

“Akure is the State Capital and we have the highest number of voting population in the state. Mr Governor and APC will definitely win Akure with large margin that will shock the opposition”.

He appealed to every registered voters who are yet to collect their PVC to do so within the time frame given by INEC.

Meanwhile, the governor, who explained that Akure had been a peaceful city, said his government was ready to ensure its beautification to allow the town more attractive being the state capital.

“Akure remains one of the most peaceful state capitals in Nigeria. If any development wants to happen in the state for good, it must start from Akure. We have been doing what you ask for , we will continue to do more. I have not started the government at all.”

While disclosing that his administration will restructure the state budget to suit his plans for the development of the state, Aiyedatiwa asked them to troop out in their large numbers to vote for him come November 16th.

His words:”I am so happy for what I see here. What Obas prophesized last time is the same voice they pronounced today. I am not someone who is not in a position before. I am not here to promise.

“You have seen me and know what I am up to. Since I was a deputy governor, I have been handling issues relating to Obas. The voice of kings is just like God’s voice. That is why I can get the ticket of the party. We have seen a sitting governor who lost the primary election. “
