2023: Why Electorates Should Return Experienced Lawmaker To National Assembly- Senator Akinyelure
Ahead of the 2023 general election, Senator Ayo Akinyelure, representing Ondo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly has charged electorates to always consider experience while casting their votes for the candidate of their choice.
Akinyelure is a ranking senator and Chairman Senate House Commmitee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions in the 9th Assembly.
Allover as fondly called, said to ensure dividend of good governance come to his constituency, connection and experience are needed in the politics of the House.
He noted that, politics of the National Assembly is based on ranking, saying for any developments to take place and approval of bills in favour of any senator’s constituency, such person must belong to the high powered caucus in the assembly.
The Senator said sending an in-experience or first timer to the National Assembly will be at the disadvantage of his constituent.
He said despite the level of education of the people of the South West, the Northern elites understand Nigeria politics and more politically educated than people of the South, saying they always present their best to occupy political positions.
Allover enjoined the voters to vote for people who has been tested and can bring dividend of democracy to their door steps in the forthcoming national assembly election.
