2023 Eid-el-fitr: Pray For Peace, Unity, Love, Sarkin Shasha Community Charges Nigerians

.. Greets Buhari, Tinubu, Akeredolu, Oloba, Muslims Faithful on Sallah

The Sarkin of Shasha Community in Oba ile Akure, Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Abdullahi has charged Nigerians to pray for peace,unity and love as the county’s is looking forward to a new administration comes May 29.

In his Eid-el-fitr message, the Sarkin appealed to Muslims to sustain the lessons of Ramadan and replicate same in their daily lives for a better society while advising them not to be carried away by only the pageantry of the Sallah, but to use it for sober reflection.

He emphasized on the importance of peace, unity and tolerance urging everyone to extend hands of love and support to the needy in the society.

His words, “The virtues of the sacrifice should be sustained beyond the Ramadan by Muslims; the fasting period makes believers appreciate the impact of hunger and be more committed to the hardships of millions who cannot feed themselves.

The Sarkin thanked Almighty Allah for sparing his life and members of Shasha Community to witnessed the beginning and end of Ramadan fasting, adding that it can only be God the Maker and Finisher of mankind.

He charged both the Muslims and Christians to pray for Nigeria, saying the country is passing through a lot of hard time

While congratulating President Buhari, President Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Akeredolu on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting, he asked Nigerians to pray for good, sound health, long life and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the country.

He also commended the outgoing president of the country for the journey of eight years, saying he has tried his best within his capacity, tasking the incoming president to sustain good policies of Buhari administration while also implementing programmes he promised Nigerians during campaign.

Sarkin prayed for Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN over his people’s oriented policies and programme that have further develop and protect the people of the state without discriminating.

He also prayed for the Oloba of Oba Ile and Deji of Akure Kingdom who have always playing a fatherly roles to the community, commending their recognition of non indigenes in their respective domains.

In the same vein, the General Secretary of the community, Alhaji Aminu Jubrin said the festive period should be a period of Sober reflection for all Muslims, thanking Almighty Allah for seeing them through the Ramadan fasting.

The General Secretary reiterated the need for all Nigerians to continue to pray for peace, adding that the major problems facing the country come from religion and tribal bigots.

His words,’ We are one both the Muslims and Christians; we need to join hands together and make Nigeria great. It is the religion and tribal sentiment that is dragging our country backward”, he noted.

He greeted all Muslims faithful across the globe, Nigeria and Ondo State, tasking everyone of continuous prayers for the country, saying only peace, love and oneness can bring the desirable development to Nigeria.

” Let’s continue to pray for our leaders; we owe our country that duty. We are looking forward to a new dispensation, we need to pray for the president elect and other elected politicians for God’s guidance, protection and wisdom to lead us right”, he added.
